Why is the bulk time a range and not one number?
Because nobody can know it exactly. The estimate comes from your dough temperature and how much levain the formula has. Flour, starter strength and your kitchen all shift it. Use the range as a hint for when to start checking, then go by volume, bubbles and the poke test.
The estimate is off for my kitchen. Can I fix it?
Tap Done Now when your dough is actually ready. Dough Clock saves how long each bulk and proof really took. With Pro, the next estimates shift toward your own timings; after three or four bakes they are usually much closer. You can also set any step's length by hand when you plan a bake.
How do I plan a bake for tomorrow morning?
Open a formula, tap Plan a Bake, choose Bake at and pick the time the loaf should go into the oven. The plan is worked out backward. If a step lands between 2 and 6 AM, you will see a warning so you can shift the time or change a step.
I don't get notifications for folds.
Open Settings on your iPhone, then Notifications, then Dough Clock, and turn on Allow Notifications. Dough Clock asks for permission the first time you start a bake.
Where is the Live Activity?
Live Activities are part of Pro. They show steps that end within 8 hours, which is the limit iOS sets. For a longer step, such as an overnight cold proof, you get a notification and the Next Step widget shows the time. Also check Settings, Dough Clock, Live Activities on your iPhone.
How do I add the widget?
Touch and hold the Home Screen or Lock Screen, tap Edit or Customize, then add the Next Step widget from Dough Clock.
What is true hydration?
Hydration on a recipe usually counts only the water and flour you add. Your levain also holds flour and water. True hydration counts both, so you can compare doughs made with different amounts or kinds of levain.
Can I use ounces and Fahrenheit?
Yes. Tap the gear in any tab and change the units.
I bought Pro but it shows as locked.
Tap the gear, then Restore Purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the Apple Account that made the purchase. Pro also works for family members through Family Sharing.
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all payments and refunds. Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.
Will I lose my data if I delete the app?
Yes. Everything is stored only on your iPhone in this version. iCloud sync is planned for a later update.
