These terms apply to Pitchline ("the app") by Vlad Shchuka. By using the app you agree to them and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies.

Readings are estimates

The tuner and metronome work from the phone's microphone and clock. Pitch readings can be affected by noise, the microphone, the instrument and how you play, and can be wrong. They are meant to help you tune and practice. Check by ear if something sounds off. Tune carefully, since strings can break when they are tightened too far.

The app

You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. The app's design, code and artwork belong to us. Please don't copy, resell or reverse-engineer it.

Pitchline Pro

Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase sold by Apple. It isn't a subscription and doesn't renew. Pro can be shared with your family through Family Sharing. Payments, refunds and restores are handled by Apple under its terms. Use Settings, then Restore Purchases, to restore Pro on a new device.

No warranty

The app is provided "as is". We can't promise it will be free of bugs or always available. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or incidental damages from using the app, including damage to instruments.

Changes

We may update these terms. The effective date above shows the latest version.
